Summer 2017 My Daughter's wedding 結婚式

We were back in Maine for our daughter's wedding in June. It's been one year since we were there last time.

 ６月に娘の結婚式のために１年ぶりにメインに帰った。

I always stop by California to see my brother in LA and kids in San Diego. Soaking up California sun seems to helps me with my jet lag. 最近メインに旅する途中には必ずカリフォルニアに立ち寄る。LAには弟が住みSan Diegoには次男と娘が住んでいるからだ。カルフォルニアの太陽を浴びると時差ぼけからの回復も早い気がする。

My dughter and her fiance were united in front of Sebago Lake on June 17th. It was a beautiful wedding. Bittersweet moment for us.We were afraid it might rain but the temperature and weather was near perfect. そして６月１７日娘達はセバゴレイクの前で愛を誓い合った。少し寂しくもあり感動した瞬間であった。雨の心配もあったけど寒くも暑くもなくパーフェクトな気候に感謝。

My fury grand dogs(my daughter's two dogs) cuddle by the fire place after the wedding. So exhausted. Wedding is such a big deal. ソファで疲れてぐったりと眠る孫たち（娘のワンちゃん２匹）。結婚式は疲れる〜。

Sipping wine by the fireplace after the wedding. So soothing and relaxing after a big day.

We will be returning to Japan in few days. I will be missing this place til the next time I visit.

式の後は暖炉の前でゆっくりワインを飲む。忙しかった日の終わりにはほっと癒される。

あと数日で日本へ戻る。セバゴレイク、又戻る日まで。。。。。。

Summer 夏 2017

These ivies that's in front of our cafe have been planted two years ago are growing wild.
２年前にカフェの前にある木の下に植えたアイビー達はずいぶん伸びてくれた。

The ivies on our building have been growing wild too, almost covering the building.
このビルのアイビーも年々伸びている。今では建物が覆われそうだ。

The Landing Collaboration コラボレーション

This month we have collaborated our made in USA New England Shirt Co. and made in Japan Allen Smithee necktie brand at The Landing. 今月はMade in USAのNew England Shirt Co. と日本製ネクタイブランドAllen SmitheeをThe Landingにてコラボした。

The patterns on the ties are unique and humorous. Not something you see on the banker's tie.
それぞれのネクタイの模様は中々ユニークでユーモアと遊び心がある。まずはサラリーマンや銀行員のネクタイには見られない模様だ。

I'm sure those who don't usually wear neckties will be tempted to own one. 普段ネクタイをしない人でも一本ぐらいは欲しいと思ってしまうだろう。

The collaboration ended yesterday but would love to have them back again. 

コラボは昨日で終了したけど又の企画を楽しみにしている。

Philly cheesesteak sandwich. Popular item. 人気のあったフィラデルフィア風焼肉サンド。

Appetizer sampler for wine time with homemade hummus and ratatouille. 夜のワインタイムの前菜盛り合わせ。手作りフムスとラタトゥイユも加えて。

Not to forget homemade dessert. Pineapple upside-down cake. 手作りデザートも忘れていません。アメリカの代表的ケーキ、パイナップルアップサイドダウンケーキ。

Dessert of the week. Apple and almond cake. Yum! 今週のデザートは林檎とアーモンドのケーキ。しっとりしていて中々の出来栄え。

Happy 2017

Happy 2017!! Can't believe it's going into 3rd year since we opened our cafe and the shop in Tokyo!. We have crossed the river with rough current and strong head wind but we have survived so far. May 2017 bring us much strength and prosperity.
明けましておめでとうございます！早くも東京にカフェとショップをオープンしてから３年目に入った。その間には山あり谷ありだったけど幸いな事に何とか乗り切ってこられた。2017年も良い年でありますように。。。。。。。。
